Legal mumbo jumbo

Rules:
The New Mexico Virtual Jeep Club is just that: a "Virtual" club. We have no president, no treasurer or treasury; members are not "voted in," they simply join. From time to time talk about "organizing" the club comes up. The NMVJC is and most likely always will be an un-organized club. This website provides as much organization as most members desire. Many members are already members of various "real" clubs. If organization (president, treasurer, etc..) is what you desire, I suggest you look at the Southwest Four Wheel Drive Association website and find an organized club that suits you. This does not mean that you cannot be a part of the NMVJC; anyone and everyone can belong to the NMVJC and whatever other 4wd clubs they desire. There are no "Official" club runs, rather a member steps forward and says he'd like to lead a trail; he adds it to the website; people add their names to the list; and the trail is run. Afterward, the "leader" can come back to the website and file a report if he so desires. Most weekends, there will be at least one run, many times there will be a few runs for any given weekend.

Since this is a Virtual club, there are no real rules, however there are certain guidlines:

1. When on the trail always remember to T.R.E.A.D. Lightly!
Travel and recreate with minimal impact.
Respect the environment and the rights of others.
Educate yourself, plan and prepare before you go.
Allow for future use of the outdoors, leave it better than you found it.
Discover the rewards of responsible recreation.

2.Don't drink and drive. A cold one at the end of the trail is perfectly acceptable. Getting smashed while driving down the trail only gives 4 wheelers a bad reputation and we'd rather not wheel with someone who would jeopardize our sport by giving the eco-terrorist more ammunition.

3.On the mailing list, please keep the posts related (in some way) to Jeeps or 4 Wheeling. When you join the website, you are given the oportunity to join the mailing list. This list can generate literally a hundred e-mails per day. Once you join, you may change your delivery options; to do so, click the "E-Mail Options" link on the NMVJC website. Note that if you did not join the mailing list when you joined the website, you can join later on by clicking the same link.

4. Absolutely no SPAM Selling your own items is great, but no commercial posts.

5. Absolutely no pornography! This is a family oriented website and should go without saying...

As stated above, these are guidlines; if you continously break the guidlines, you can be removed from the club. Note that if you ignore #4 or #5 you can and will be removed immediately.
